SEASON 12 WEEK 2 POWER RANKINGS

current gen power rankings

1. Insomnia 3-1 (7-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 1

Another solid week for Scorekov and his group. With a series sweep over fellow top 10 team in Acknowledge Me, coupled with a series split against Trap house, Insomnia once again tops this week’s power rankings. Two tough matchups for Insomnia coming up as they battle Get North and Sunnyvale.

2. Storm 3-0-1 (7-0-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 4

The Storm had a huge week staying undefeated in regulation after sweeping Sunnyvale and taking 3 out of 4 points vs the SeaDawgs. The Storm use strong defensive structure and great positioning to stifle these great offensive teams. Dusty is a difference maker for this group when he controls the play at the center position.

3. SeaDawgs 3-1 (7-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 2

After dismantling previous top 10 team Simplified this week, the SeaDawgs ran into the Storm and had a split with one win coming in overtime. Get North and Trap House are the matchups this week, so we will see how the Dawgs matchup against other top 10 teams.

4. Sunnyvale 4-0 (7-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 10

An undefeated week for the Sunnyvale crew beating the Twine Ticklerz and Jofa, who have had good seasons in their own right. Sunnyvale will play their toughest matchups of the season this week, seeing top seed Insomnia and second see Storm on their docket.

5. Get North 4-0 (7-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 7

Slowly climbing the rankings, Get North had a perfect week against a good schedule of games. This week will be their biggest test against the SeaDawgs and Insomnia. The chatter in the ITHL will be interesting to watch this week.

6. Trap House 3-1 (7-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 5

A tough matchup against Insomnia where Trap managed to hand Insomnia their first loss of the season. RedxDevil and Shorey continue to lead this team who need more out of Michigan Malo to help bring Trap to the next level.

7. Acknowledge Me 2-2 (5-2-1) Last Week’s Rank: 6

Arguably the toughest schedule of the week when they played two undefeated teams in Insomnia and Mission, saw Acknowledge Me split their week. Two tough games where they showed well against Insomnia gives the thought that they will continue to show strong if they stick out the season.

8. Dynamic HC 4-0 (6-2) – Last Week’s Rank: NR

The first non-ranked team from week 1, Dynamic has rebounded from their opening two losses of the season with six straight wins including a perfect week this past week. Dynamic will see their strength of schedule increase this week where they will be put to the test. A very under the radar team with a good group and the west coast location on their side.

9. Vipers 4-0 (6-2) – Last Week’s Rank: NR

The Vipers are a team made up of guys who have played together for years and they are always hovering around the top of the standings in the ITHL for as long as they’ve been around. Will be interesting to see how their week shapes out with Dyanmic and Acknowledge Me on their schedule.

10. Jofa 2-2 (5-2-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 9

The final team on the rankings for the week, and maybe the hardest team to figure out. A very talented roster and some tough games may be the answer but Jofa will hover around the rankings for the rest of the season. Their lightest week of competition is upcoming but Army can be a tough game.

teams to watch

Long Island Crimson – New team to the league had a great week 2, they will be in the top 10 next week with another solid showing.

Blue Line Snipers – Normally the ITHL doormat, Blue Line has strung together some solid performances that has them on the cusp.

Mutts – A good team with a good roster has had some struggles out of the gate. Mutt_Anderson needs to show why he won the Slater last season.

old gen power rankings

1. Les Senateurs de Toronto 4-0 (7-1) – Last Week’s Rank: 1

Still look like the team to beat on the old gen side this season. Looking forward to Wednesday when they take on the Destroyers in a potential finals preview in Week 2!

2. CC Destroyers 4-0 (8-0) – Last Week’s Rank: 4

This team just scores goals and seems like they cannot be stopped. A bunch of guys that seem to always play together and their chemistry is through the roof!

3. Down East Pirates 2-1-1 (6-1-1) Last Week’s Rank: 2

Some tough games against Sweden but the Pirates haven’t done enough to fall too far down the list. The Pirates are a fun team to watch who are playing the Senateurs this week in which should be a great set of games.

4. St. Lafleur Academie 3-1 (6-2) Last week rank: NR

An underestimated team in week 1, the Academie have come on strong in the power rankings to grab the fourth seed. Previously unranked, they won 3 straight games to end the week to become ranked this week.

5. Problem Child 3-1 (5-2-1) Last week rank: 3

Problem Child have done nothing wrong to lose rankings, just had other teams around them had slightly better weeks. If they would have swept the Stealth, like they should have, they would have been higher up on the list.

teams to watch

Goat Lords – The Goat Lords seem to play every team tough and will break through at some point this season.

Sweden Serpents – Battling some consistency issues but were able to beat the Pirates twice last week.

Doodle Inc – Always a strong team off to a slow start but never count these guys out, especially since they try to fight everyone.
